Graduate fellowships are awarded annually to Illinois women who are U.S. citizens, are domiciled in the State of Illinois, have lived there for not less than two years, have received an A.B., B.A., B.S. or equivalent baccalaureate degree, have an overall “B” average in all undergraduate and graduate school studies and a minimum of twelve hours of undergraduate credits in economics, history and/or political science.

In the selection process, consideration is given to the following:  need, previous graduate study, practical business experience in government and leadership experience.

Applications, credentials and supporting data must be on file with the Chairman of the Committee on or before November 15th.  Personal interviews with members of the Committee will be scheduled with eligible candidates.

Awards are announced by April 1st. The amount allowed is paid directly to the school.

The application for the next award period for first time applicants is paper copy: 1st Year Application or online. Follow the directions on the first page.  The application for 2nd and 3rd year applicants is 2nd and 3rd yr app or online.
